The AJCA was formed in 1958 by the Alabama Cattlemen's Association Board of
Directors and is group of youth who enjoy working with cattle and being an
advocate for Alabama’s beef industry. The main event for junior cattlemen todayis the AJCA Round-Up held each July at Montgomery's Garrett Coliseum. This event is where the election of the AJCA Board of Directors takes place.
The
junior organization is organized on a county-by-county basis similar to the
Alabama Cattlemen's Association. County's are encouraged to host field days, fundraisers and livestock development programs for junior cattleman in the county chapter. If you're interested in becoming a chapter adviser in an Alabama county,
email us and we will get you in contact with some successful county advisers.
AJCA membership is open to all Alabama youth
21 years of age and younger as of January 1 of the membership year. A membership application can be found below in the PDF section.
