The Vehicle Is: The Weight Rating Is: The Law Says:
Straight truck, truck with trailer (other than passenger buses and hazardous materials haulers) 26,000 pounds or less Exempt from all federal regulations while operating in Alabama.
●Straight truck, truck with trailer (other than hazardous materials haulers) ●More than 26,000 pounds ●Driver must be at least 18 years old to operate a combination vehicle (49 CRF 391.67)

●Driver must meet physical qualifications to operate a combination vehicle (49 CRF 391.67)

●Vehicle inspection, repair and maintenance reports, including driver vehicle inspection reports, if more than one commercial vehicle is owned (49 CFR 396)

●Exempt from all other federal regulations while operating in Alabama within 150 air miles of the farm (49 CFR 390.5)

■Farm-owned vehicle operating within 150 air miles of the farm   ■No CDL, DOT markings, or DOT registration required
