Montgomery's Southeastern Livestock Exposition has been selected as the
site for the 2010 International Professional Rodeo Association (IPRA)
National All-Region Finals rodeo. SLE President Nealy Barrett has
stated his excitement over bringing a national finals event to
Montgomery. |
|
The IPRA has been around for 50 years and produces about 300 rodeos
annually. The IPRA is divided into 5 geographical regions:
Western, Central, Southern, Northeast, and Southeast. The top 4
contestants in each event from each of these 5 regions will come to
Montgomery to compete for national titles in the N.A.R.F.
Competition will consist of two complete go-rounds with 10 competitors
up in the 7 events during each of the 4 rodeo performances. |
|
The dates for next year's SLE Rodeo and Livestock Week are March 11-13.
Tickets will be available this fall from the Alabama Cattlemen's
Association. |
