2017 Southeast Regional Hereford Show

Youth Livestock Events

Based on the past few years of participation, over 100 youth plus their families are expected at the SER. Organizing committees are planning for up to 160 head of Hereford beef cattle from Alabama, Missouri, Kentucky, Arkansas, Tennessee, West Virginia, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Mississippi and Louisiana. There will be classes for showmanship, bred and owned heifers, bulls, steers, and owned heifers. In addition, educational clinics on agvocacy, beef ambassador, an ag skillathon and judging will be conducted by Auburn University faculty.

A silent auction of valuable beef community items including original cattle artwork, unique dining experiences, vacation packages, and semen packages are being planned. Bids will also be taken on Facebook.
