Post Graduate Scholarships

ALABAMA CATTLEMEN'S FOUNDATION Post-Graduate SCHOLARSHIPS

It pays to be a member of the Alabama Cattlemen's Association. Apply for one of our many scholarships and join hundreds of other students in becoming an Alabama Cattlemen's Foundation scholarship recipient. Alabama Cattlemen's Foundation scholarships are funded by the purchase of the "Cowboy" vanity car tag and by generous, private family donations.

Post-graduate students are eligible for a chance to be awarded one of the following Alabama Cattlemen's Foundation Scholarships. Learn more about each scholarship below.
  • Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine Scholarship
  • Auburn University Department of Animal Sciences Graduate Student Scholarship
  • Agricultural Law Scholarship
  • Rural Medicine Scholarship
Applications for 2025-2026 Alabama Cattlemen's Foundation scholarships will open September 23, 2024, and close Nov. 3, 2024. Applicants will learn of award or deference by February 15, 2025.

Scholarships will be awarded at the 2025 Alabama Cattlemen's Foundation Scholarship Banquet held May 2, 2025, at the Wetumpka Civic Center in Wetumpka, AL.



AUBURN UNIVERSITY DEPARTMENT OF ANIMAL SCIENCES GRADUATE STUDENT SCHOLARSHIP


ELIGIBILITY:
Applicant must be currently enrolled as a graduate student in Auburn University's Department of Animal Sciences and be a current member of the Alabama Cattlemen's Association or parents/grandparents of the applicant must be current members of the Alabama Cattlemen's Association for the past two consecutive years. Preference given to a student who has a strong background in Alabama's livestock industry and is working on a research project focused on beef or beef cattle.

AWARD: $1,000


AUBURN UNIVERSITY COLLEGE OF VETERINARY MEDICINE SCHOLARSHIP


ELIGIBILITY:
Applicant must be currently enrolled in Auburn University's College of Veterinary Medicine and be a current member of the Alabama Cattlemen's Association or parents/grandparents of the applicant must be current members of the Alabama Cattlemen's Association for the past two consecutive years. Preference given to a student who has a strong background in Alabama's livestock industry and intends to practice large animal medicine.

AWARD: $1,000



AGRICULTURAL LAW SCHOLARSHIP


ELIGIBILITY:
Applicant must be accepted or currently enrolled in agricultural law program at a qualified university; be a member of the Alabama Cattlemen's Association or parents/grandparents of the applicant must be current members of the Alabama Cattlemen's Association for the past two consecutive years; and seeks to practice agricultural law in the state of Alabama.

AWARD: $1,000



RURAL MEDICINE SCHOLARSHIP


ELIGIBILITY:
Applicant must be accepted or currently enrolled in an accredited rural medicine program; be a member of the Alabama Cattlemen's Association or parents/grandparents of the applicant must be current members of the Alabama Cattlemen's Association for the past two consecutive years; and plans to practice rural medicine in the state of Alabama. Preference may be given to students from rural Alabama.

AWARD: $1,000
