Since opening its doors in 1995, The MOOseum has been the premier venue for children and adults alike to learn more about Alabama's beef cattle industry. Whether you're a history buff looking to explore the timeline of the past or a parent who wants your children to learn in a hands-on environment, The MOOseum is ready for your visit.
Start your tour in the The View from pasture to Plate exhibit and experience the unique lifecycle of a beef animal from the pasture all the way to the center of your plate. But the story doesn't stop there! Learn about all the unique byproducts that come from beef cattle with our fun and interaction byproducts case.
Allow our resident cowboy and virtual tour guide, Adam Bainbridge, to show you a film and tell you a story about the cattle industry here in Alabama. While visiting with Adam, explore the “Hoofprints Through Alabama” gallery with a floor-to-ceiling timeline dating back to 1494. After you've brushed up on the past, head on back to learn about our favorite protein, beef, in The Feeding Trough, dress up like a rough-and-tumble cowboy in the Rodeo Arena and learn about just how cool a cow really is in The Cow Pen. It just may surprise you!
Don't forget to have your picture taken with our Texas Longhorn "Dusty" and shop around in The MOOseum General Store before you go!
