County Grant Program

The County Grant Program is provided by the Alabama Beef Checkoff Program. Its purpose is to support Alabama county cattlemen's association chapters with additional resources to expand the reach of the association for education purposes, specifically by encouraging new activities in your area. The form must be filled out prior to the event and funding will be issued as a reimbursement with proof of event. Funding is not guaranteed. Applications are reviewed quarterly by the Beef Checkoff Council.

The current funding level is $500, unless otherwise determined by the Beef Checkoff Council.

***THIS PROGRAM IS NOT FOR LOCAL FUNDRAISING EFFORTS OR TO OFFSET ANY COSTS ON FOR-PROFIT EVENTS CONDUCTED BY THE COUNTIES.***

There are four programming areas available for grant requests:

Consumer Beef Education Marketing Items - examples include local billboards, paid media buys, radio ads, print media, and educational resources for schools.

Consumer Beef Educational Events - examples include beef cooking classes, culinary program events, nutrition class events, farm tours for influencer/ consumer groups, and Beef 101 travel sponsorships.

Producer Cattle Education - examples include BQA certification, hands-on educational events, marketing and communications education, and printed educational materials.

Youth Cattle Education - examples include field days and youth cattle educational camps (AJCA, FFA, 4-H, etc.).
